In 1935, a half mile dirt oval was used at the Zanesville Fairgrounds, on the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. This appears to have been only used once, on the 30th May of that year.
Also in Zanesville was Zanesville Speedway, in Dresden on SR60 (to the north of Zanesville). It opened as a 1/4 mile dirt oval built by Louie Morosco in 1942, and was paved in 1955. It was used through until 1970, when it was extended to 3/8 mile, and reverted to dirt. It closed in 1981.
