Playland Park

A 1/4 mile dirt oval opened in 1948, in Houston. A 1/3 mile road course was also opened in 1950, with the oval paved in 1957, only to be demolished in 1960. The Astrodrome was constructed nearby in 1965, and also held races for a time.
