New Hampshire International Speedway is a 1.058 mile oval with a 1.52 mile road course located near Loudon, New Hampshire. The original plan was to build the banking at 12 degrees, but the person who wrote the plans failed to specify whether the numerical banking figures were in percent or degrees. The crew who built the circuit assumed that the figures were in percent, which is what was normally used by US road construction crews, hence the banking is at 12%, or about 8 degrees.
