Maroubra
An oval track of less than a mile in use in the 1920s. It was a dangerous
track, with local man Phil Garlick going over the top in his Alvis and being
killed in the process. It went through successive ownerships and receiverships,
and was closed within ten years, the infield being flooded, and the track
rotted away. It was built on in the 1950s, and was officially known as the
Olympia Motor Speedway.
