Used for the 4 Hours of Forez in 1955, and the 6 Hours of Forez in 1957, the 5.690 km anticlockwise circuit was designed by René Delabre. The track went up and down the carriageways of the road from La Baroy to La Massardière, the only separation coming when the road went through a tunnel at the far left of the circuit, and round a curve known as Maison Rouge.
